The WildCharge™ Pad is very sleek and thin with an attractive bright conductive surface. Breakthrough WildCharge™ technology provides true confidence to the user, as they can see, hear and even feel how it works. Because the characteristic 4 metal contact points (the WildCharge™ “constellation”) integrated into the device or device adapter are magnetized (except in the case of the iPhone adapters), the device is attracted to the Pad’s conductive surface and solidly held in place once it touches down with a satisfying “clack” – in any configuration.
WildCharge™ Technology – The Principal Elements
The WildCharge™ wire-free power system is comprised of (1) a power transfer surface and (2) an electronic device – both of which are enabled with patented WildCharge™ technology.
1) Power Transfer Surface or “Pad” or “Platform” – This surface has contact (conductive) strips of specified
dimensions and spacing that provide low voltage DC while WildCharge™ control circuitry constantly monitors and supplies power to the contract strips, and immediately removes power if an unapproved load or short-circuit condition is detected.
2) Electronic Device – The WildCharge™-enabled electronic device has four contact points embedded into one surface. These contact points (the WildCharge™ “constellation”) are designed to make an immediate and positive electrical connection with the contact strips on the power transfer surface – regardless of orientation.
Once an approved WildCharge™ device is detected on the Power Transfer Surface, DC power is then supplied to the power transfer surface which provides power to the WildCharge™-enabled device circuitry to either charge the battery or power the device directly.
